I will preface this conversation with the caveat that I believe good coffee is at its best with no added flavoring or creamers. However, every once in a while I like to mix it up.

Who here needs to limit their dairy intake? It can be hard especially hard to find a dairy free creamer that blends in just right with your coffee. I found out about Nutpods creamer from Rachel Allene (www.rachelallene.com) an Instagramer I discovered a few years ago. Nutpods is an unsweetened dairy free creamer made of almonds and coconut. It froths like normal cream and blends right into my coffee without flaking and curdling. Nutpods has several different flavors but my personal favorite is the original. It can be found in most Kroger stores and online at http://www.nutpods.com. They released limited flavors each season and just released Pumpkin Spice a couple of weeks ago! A great alternative to heavy sugar filled creamers.

My personal go to creamer is Great Value Heavy Whipping Cream. One thing I have learned is that all heavy cream is not the same. Great Value has the best consistency – not too thick or too thin – and it has no added sugars. It also contains less than 0.5% of carageenan (linked to breast cancer) while competing brands contain 1-2%. If you aren’t into sweet creamers but still like the thick milky taste then this is for you!
